1. Data Controller

2. What data we process

Through the contact form we process the data you provide: your name, e‑mail address, media outlet (optional) and the content of your message. We do not process any special categories of personal data.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process the data solely to respond to your inquiry and communicate with you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in replying to the inquiry you sent us, or taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Recipients and processors

To send and deliver your message we use the following processors:

• Resend, Inc. (USA) – e‑mail delivery service. The transfer to the USA is covered by the EU‑US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Vercel, Inc. (USA) – website hosting.

We do not share your data with any other third parties for their own purposes and do not use it for marketing.

5. Retention period

We keep the message submitted through the form for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any related follow‑up, but no longer than 24 months. At our processor Resend, the e‑mail data is automatically deleted within 30 days of sending, in line with Resend's current terms.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses no marketing or tracking cookies and stores no data in your browser; the language versions of the site are separate URLs. For visitor measurement we use Vercel Analytics, which operates without cookies and without storing personal identifiers.

The intro video is embedded from YouTube in privacy‑enhanced mode (youtube‑nocookie.com), which sets no tracking cookies. However, when a page with the video loads, a connection is made to Google (YouTube) servers in the USA, transferring your IP address and technical browser data; this transfer is covered by the EU‑US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Your rights

In relation to the processing of your personal data you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. You may exercise these rights at youngwaterfilms@gmail.com.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe the processing of your data breaches applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.gov.cz.

9. Voluntariness and automated decision-making

Providing personal data through the form is voluntary; however, without your name, e‑mail and message we will not be able to handle your inquiry. The processing does not involve any automated decision-making or profiling.
